Leonard Edwards, wife Mary, and daughter Margaret are buried in Forrest Edwards' Cemetery, Otisfield ME.
Leonard Edwards son of Simeon lived on the place where his father did, at the corner of the road in Dunkertown, where his son Levi did (the house has since burned). He went barefoot most of the time. One day when he was hauling up some wood to the house, which he did about every day, as he never got up any more than he burned from day to day, one of the oxen stepped on his bare foot and stood there jamming it into the mud so Leonard could not move it. After a moment he said "git off of my foot before I strike you." dau. Margaret Maria was feeble minded.
