Lowell MA; Albany ME Samuel E. Keniston enlisted in Civil War as a Private in Co. A, 11th Me. Regt. Inf., Oct. 1, 1861; served out his time; re-enlisted, and was honorably discharged, Apr. 25, 1862, by reason of wounds and general disability. He re-enlisted for a period of three years, being mustered into service Aug. 27, 1863. He served under Capt. A. L Spence, Co. H, 4th. Me. Vol. Regt. Inf. until he was wounded May 6, 1864. He died from effect of wound in a hospital in Washington, D. C. Other Info: Dorothy F Edwards died of peritonitis
