Clearfield PA, 1904; La Junta CO, 1908, Cheraw CO Girard Bryce Edwards graduated from Easton Academy, Easton, Pa., in 1891. He taught school two years in Clearfield Co., Pa. He graduated from Potts Business College, Williamsport, Pa., in 1894, and entered Washington and Jefferson College, class of '98, leaving there to accompany Co. H, 10th. Pa Vols. to the Philipines. While there he served as office assistant to General Irving Hale, in the meantime participating in all engagement. By reason of illness he was honorably discharged and pensioned. He re-entered Washington and Jefferson College, graduating in 1900. While there he was manager of the varsity baseball team, served on football team, and held college championship for Western Pennsylvania in quarter mile run. He graduated from Medical Dept. of Ohio State University in 1904. He practiced medicine in Clearfield, Pa., until 1908, when failing health compelled him to move to LaJunta, Colo., where he practiced with his brother, Ernest Gard. Edwards. Later he located in Cheraw, Colo. Member of Beta Theta Pi, Theta Nu Epsilon, and Alpha Me Pi Omega college fraternities; Spanish War Veterans. Other Info:
